Level 1 of 4
Arduino & Electronics Foundations
A rock-solid base in electronics, circuits and Arduino programming — students learn what a robot really is, then build their first one.

Overview
About this level
Level 1 assumes zero experience. Students start by reading a schematic and lighting an LED, then progress through inputs, outputs and sensors until they can write their own Arduino sketches in C/C++. Everything is built on a breadboard — no soldering — so mistakes are safe and quick to fix. By the end, students understand voltage, current and resistance, can wire and program common sensors, and complete a small smart-home build.
Hands-on
Projects you'll build
- Blink & traffic-light LED sequences
- Push-button and potentiometer controls
- Buzzer alarm with an ultrasonic distance sensor
- Temperature & light monitor
- Capstone: Smart Home Starter Kit
By the end
What students can do
- Read a basic circuit diagram and wire it on a breadboard safely
- Explain voltage, current, resistance and Ohm's law
- Write, upload and debug Arduino sketches in C/C++
- Read digital and analog inputs and drive outputs
- Interface common sensors (ultrasonic, light, temperature)
