Getting Started with Arduino: Your First Blink

The Arduino Uno is the perfect board to begin your electronics journey. In this tutorial we wire a single LED and upload the classic Blink sketch.
What you need
- Arduino Uno R3
- One LED and a 220Ω resistor
- A breadboard and jumper wires
The code
Open the Arduino IDE, select your board and port, then upload the Blink example from File → Examples. Your LED will blink once per second. Congratulations — you just programmed your first microcontroller!
